Passionate about Poetry . . . .
…. or just very interested in verse?
Join the Poetry Group – a small, friendly group who meet at
intervals to read poetry. Members come armed with two or
three poems on a theme chosen in advance and read them to each other,
perhaps talking about them or just enjoying them – and we usually have
a glass of wine as well.
Themes have included women poets, the Thirties, Russian poets,
the weather and journeys. But the format is not set in stone: better –
or just different ideas – would be welcome.
You do not have to join the Club to test the water. You can
come along and see what you think of the group, but, if you then decide
to join, we would ask you to join the drama club. Details of membership
